Abstract:
To provide an easily assemblable and repairable backup roll unit.
In this backup roll unit, two backup roll bearings 3 are assembled to an arbor 2 supported at its center portion by a saddle 4 on both sides of the saddle 4. The backup roller bearing 3 comprises an outer ring 5 having a center flange 5a and a double row cylindrical roller bearing formed by arranging rollers 7 in double rows between the outer ring 5 and an inner ring 6 fitted onto the arbor 2. The backup roller bearing is locked with a nut 11 to receive a radial load and an axial load by one bearing. Thus, the assembly and the repair of the backup roll unit 1 can be easily performed.
