Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject powder or granular composition having enhanced bactericidal properties and capable of surely cleansing and sterilizing by utilizing a foaming agent comprising a (bi)carbonate and a solid acid, and a cationic bactericide and a surfactant in powdered form.
SOLUTION: This composition includes (A) 10 to 95 wt.%. of a foaming agent comprising a (bi)carbonates (preferably sodium carbonate or the like) and a solid acid, (B) 0.1 to 10 wt.% of a cationic bactericide (e.g.; benzalkonium chloride) and (C) 0.1 to 20 wt.% of a surfactant, and is free from inorganic peroxides. An organic acid manifesting chelate effects depending on pH such as ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid or the like, are preferred as the solid acid in ingredient A. A nonionic surfactants, especially, a 12 to 28C alkyl ether of polyoxyethylene (having average degree of polymerization of ethylene oxide of 3 to 20) is preferred as the ingredient C. A metal chelating agent is combinedly used to remove the prescribed solid acid, preferably.
