Abstract:

To provide a badminton racket which keeps operability and has improved vibration damping property in hitting.

The badminton racket comprises a frame part 2, a shaft part 3, a shaft holding part 4 and a grip part 5. Then, the grip part 5 consists of a synthetic resin cylindrical body. The shaft holding part 4 is made of wood, has a tapered part 41 and a non-tapered part 42 connected with it, and is provided with an insertion hole 43 for receiving the shaft part at the center of its cross section. Within the insertion hole 43, the shaft part is inserted and fixed, at least a part of the non-tapered part 42 of the shaft holding part 4 is fitted into and fixed to the inside of the opening part formed in the opposite side of the synthetic resin cylindrical body of the grip part 5 from the grip end, and the ratio of the length of the non-tapered part 42 of the shaft holding part 4 entering the grip part 5 of the synthetic resin cylindrical body to the length of the grip part is set to be not larger than 1/3 and not shorter than 1 cm.
