PURPOSE: To obtain an apparatus capable of certainly taking out bags from a bag magazine one by one and bringing an alarm in action to prevent an unexpected event when the bag is not set on a granular material feed pipe.

CONSTITUTION: After a bag 10 is taken out from a bag magazine 15 by a bag takeout machine 2, the bag 10 is moved onto a bag conveyer 3, a cylindrical part 10a of the bag 10 is put on a granular material feed pipe 36 and granular material is fed in the bag 10. In such an apparatus, a pusher 16 is provided inside the bag magazine 15 to press the bag 10 toward the bag takeout machine 2 side via a spring 21. Right above the granular material feed pipe 36, a bag holder 36 is provided to press the bag l0 filled with the granular material, and an alarm 41 is brought in action when a tip 39a of the bag holder 39 comes in contact with the granular material feed pipe 36.
