This bag support stand has a first base frame 1, a second base frame 2 pivoted to its base frame and rotatable to "a folding position" in a close vicinity to its base frame and "a support position" for supporting the first base frame 1 in an inclined rising attitude by rising slantingly, a bag port support mechanism 3 including a first hooking part 31 for hooking an outer surface of an opening edge of the refuse bag and pressure contact members 32 and 33 opposed to the first hooking part 31 and having resiliency brought into pressure contact with an inner surface of the opening edge of the refuse bag and installed in an upper part of the first base frame 1, a support trunk 4 having a second hooking part 41 for hooking the outer surface of the opening edge of the refuse bag in the upper part, joined to a lower part of the first base frame 1, placing a space for receiving the refuse bag between the first base frame 1 and itself, tiltable in a direction for separating from the direction for approaching the first base frame 1 and raised up and supported by the first base frame 1, and a rotation forcing member 5 for forcing the support trunk 4 in a direction for separating from the first base frame 1.
