Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser processing device capable of making the density distribution uniform in the irradiation range of the laser beam by a stepless control of the laser beam energy, by providing a stepless light volume controlling system, which comprises a diaphragm and the driving motor, on the light path of the laser beam.
SOLUTION: A stepless laser light volume controlling system comprises a diaphragm 130, being installed in the passing range of the laser beam, and a stepping. The diaphragm 130 comprises a slit 132, which the laser beam can pass through, and a movable member 131, the reflecting face of which is the peripheral part of the slit 132. The slit 132 is formed in a crescent shape so that the passing range of the laser beam tapers off in proportion to the rotation of the movable member 131. When the rotation angle of the movable member 131 is gradually changed, the passing range of the laser beam is tapered off in proportion to the change of the rotation angle. Thus, the sectional shape, that is, the laser light volume can be changed continuously, without displacing the optical axis of the laser beam.
