PURPOSE: To provide a burning furnace in which, even if a burning step is repeatedly executed, a supporting material is not inclined in the furnace in which a long molding made of a ceramic material is suspended by supporting an upper end of the molding by the supporting material.
CONSTITUTION: A supporting material 4 made of a refractory material is horizontally supported in a furnace 3. The material 4 is supported by a metal member 10. The member 10 is fixed by a structure 12 out of the furnace, and has a cooling mechanism 11 for cooling the member 10. The upper end 5a of a long molding 5 is supported by the material 4 to suspend the molding 5 in the furnace 3, and baked. Preferably, an air gap 16 is formed between the member 10 and a furnace body 14, and refractory materials 8, 9 are interposed to be held between the member 10 and the material 4.
