To provide a material for a coating for obtaining a curing type aqueous clear coating having an excellent scratch resistance and anti-chipping property, without forming crack and also excellent in performances such as weather resistance, fouling resistance, close adhesion, etc., and a curing type aqueous clear coating by using such the material.
This material for a curing type aqueous clear coating comprising a hydrophilic polyrotaxane having a ring molecule, a straight chain molecule forming an inclusion state of the ring molecule as a skewing state and blocking groups arranged at both terminals of the straight chain molecule and preventing the elimination of the ring molecule, wherein, at least one of the straight chain molecule and ring molecule has a hydrophilic modifying group, is blended suitably by 1-30 mass% based on coated film-forming components to make the curing type aqueous clear coating.
