PURPOSE: To achieve a higher efficiency of balance correction work, by arranging a display means to indicate a mounting position of a balance piece.
CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric type acceleration pick up 4 is mounted on a grinding wheel head 2 to detect a vibration of a grinding wheel 3 as a rotor. An origin detection sensor 7 is provided on a table 5 and senses a light reflector 8 rotating together with the grinding wheel 3 to output an origin position signal of the grinding wheel 3. On the other hand, a display 9 connected to the acceleration pick up 4 and the origin detection sensor 7 is equipped with a total of 36 indexing position display body 11, a display section 12 capable of displaying by two stages, upper and lower, a vector key 13, an indication key 14 and a fine adjusting key 15. A CPU 16 mounted into the display 9 is connected to members, a RAM 17 and ROM 18 and computes and displays mounting positions of balance pieces with respect to a rotor in such a manner that resultant vector of a plurality of balance pieces with a specified weight mounted on the rotor 3 is balanced with an imbalance vector of the rotor 3.
