This measuring instrument is provided with a large balance 106 having a shaft 108, for example, a small balance 107 having a shaft 113 turnable freely around a turning shaft 119 and connected to the shaft 108, a sliding shaft 114, a balance weight 117 guided by the sliding shaft 114 to be provided movably, and a balance weight moving means such as an electric motor 116 for moving the balance weight 117 along the sliding shaft, an operation means such as a motor switch box 133 for operating the electric motor 116, and a rotation pulse detector 118 and a rotation pulse measuring instrument 128 for measuring a moving distance of the balance weight 117. The balance weight 117 may be constituted to mount a weight regulating weight so as to regulate total weight.
