Title:
BALANCER DEVICE IN ENGINE-TRANSMISSION SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS62184259
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce torsional vibrations sharply, by generating vibromotive force with balancers in the opposite direction of the torsion of a torsional vibration mode, and setting the vibromotive force to work on a position where the amplitude of the torsional vibration mode becomes wide. CONSTITUTION:A timing belt 15 is wound between a toothed pulley 12 which is provided for the front end portion of the output shaft 5 of an engine 1 and right and left paired pulleys 13, 14 which are retained rotatably on the engine. Generally semicircular balancers 11a, 11b are fixed to the pulleys 13, 14, and they are made to rotate twice as fast as the output shaft 5 and in the same direction. Centroids of both balancers 11a, 11b are dislocated with a phase of 180 deg.. Centrifugal forces T1, T2 are generated by the rotations of the balancers, and torsional vibrations are reduced by their resultant force. As a matter of course, the phase relation between the output shaft of the engine and both balancers is set up in such a manner that moment becomes zero in a crank dead center position. Thus, the torsional vibrations can be reduced, and the mass of the balancers can be made smaller.
