To provide a balancing machine that can efficiently carry out the carrier/detachment operation of a specimen, and at the same time can reduce the costs of the carrier facilities of the specimen.

In a balancing machine, a substrate 2 is equipped with a first support trestle 7 that has a first support part 71 where one end part 51 of a specimen 50 is fitted, and a second support trestle 8 that is arranged opposite to the first support part 71 and at the same time has a second support part 81 where the other end part of the specimen 50 is fitted, and the specimen 50 is received from the side of a specimen supply part 70 being provided outside the substrate 2 and is supported by the first and second support parts 71 and 81 for performing a test. Also, in the balancing machine, at least one of the first and second support trestles 7 and 8 is equipped with reciprocation mechanisms 40 and 60 that linearly reciprocate so that the gap can be changed while relationship where the first and second support parts 71 and 81 are oppositely arranged is being maintained, and the first and second support parts 71 and 81 are provided while they project from the substrate 2 to the supply-part side of the specimen.
