Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely press the upper surface and one of the side surfaces of a balk in which a lower balk building roll presses the side surface of the balk by touching under lateral rotation by a rotary mechanism and an upper balk- building roll presses the upper surface of the balk by touching under lateral rotation by a rotary mechanism.
SOLUTION: In this balk-building machine, a lower balk-building roll 13 and an upper balk-building roll 14 are placed in a manner they can overlap to each other. The balk building machine has a vertical adjusting mechanism 15 which can adjust the lower balk-building roll and/or the upper balk-building roll in the vertical direction and a rotary mechanism 16 which rotates each of the upper and the lower balk-building roll.
