Abstract:
To provide a ball bearing device for a water pump capable of precluding noise emission, short lifetime, slipping-off of a belt by lessening the axial clearance and the angular clearance, not requiring lessening of the initial radial clearance of a ball bearing.
The ball bearing device for the water pump is configured so that the ball bearing 5 is interposed between a cylindrical part 2a of a stationary side member 2 on the inside and a cylindrical pulley part 3c of a rotary side member 3 on the outside, both being formed from steel plate by press working, wherein the radius of curvature of the outer race of the ball bearing 5 is 50.5-51.5% of the ball diameter.
