Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maximally reduce the shearing of grease applied in an annular space which is formed between an inner ring and an outer ring, and to reduce rotation resistance in a ball bearing.SOLUTION: A cage 5 has an annular part 11 located at one side of a ball 4 in an axial direction, and a plurality of columns 13 extending from the annular part 11 toward the other side in the axial direction. A clearance between a pair of columns 13, 13 which adjoin each other in a peripheral direction being the other side of the annular part 11 in the axial direction serves as a pocket 15 for accommodating the ball 4. The ball 4 is exposed in a range A1 at the other side in the axial direction from an end part 19 of the column 13 at the other side in the axial direction, and a dimension L1 of the range A1 in which the ball 4 is exposed from the end part 19 in the axial direction is not smaller than 30% and not larger than 50% of a diameter D of the ball 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
