Abstract:
To prevent foreign matter from entering into a flexible spline from a gap between the flexible spline included in a harmonic drive reducer and an outer ring of a ball bearing.SOLUTION: A ball bearing interposed between an elliptical cam 4 and a flexible spline 3 included in a harmonic drive reducer, includes an inner ring 5 deformed in an elliptical manner by fitting to the elliptical cam 4, and an outer ring 6 deformed into an elliptical manner with elliptical deformation of the inner ring 5. On the whole circumference of an interval between the flexible spline 3 and the outer ring 6, provided is a seal layer 30 for closing the interval between the flexible spline 3 and the outer ring 6.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
