Abstract:
To provide a ball bearing which can combine high speed property with high rigidity.SOLUTION: A ball bearing 1 has an inner ring 2 having an inner ring raceway groove 2a at an outer circumferential surface, an outer ring 3 having an outer ring raceway groove 3a at an internal circumferential surface, and a plurality of balls 4 arranged in freely rolling manner between the inner ring raceway groove 2a and the outer ring raceway groove 3a. The outer ring raceway groove 3a is formed of an outer ring front-surface side raceway groove 3a1 and an outer ring back-surface side raceway groove 3a2 which are non-continuously connected to each other. Furthermore, the outer ring front-surface side raceway groove 3a1 and the outer ring back-surface side raceway groove 3a2 are formed in such a manner that extension surfaces 3e1, 3e2 which are extended while exceeding a cross point 3d between the outer ring front-surface side raceway groove 3a1 and the outer ring back-surface side raceway groove 3a2 pass through the inside of the outer ring 3, and the outer ring front-surface raceway groove 3a1 includes a groove bottom center of the outer ring 3. A contact angle α 1 between the outer ring front-surface side raceway groove 3a1 and the balls 4, and a contact angle α 2 between the outer ring back-surface side raceway groove 3a2 and the balls 4 are each 0° or more, and α1<α2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
