To provide a ball cock for railway rolling stock which is capable of reducing entering of rainwater and dust, regardless of a mounting attitude of the ball cock on a vehicle.
This ball cock is constituted to be provided with a main body 1 having a primary side opening hole 5 and a secondary side opening hole 6 which are opposed each other and an exhaust hole 22 formed between these opening holes 5, 6 and a ball-shaped valve element 14 in which a communicating hole which is freely rotatably provided within the main body 1 and communicates the primary side opening hole 5 and the secondary side opening hole 6 and a side hole 21 communicating one of the primary side of the secondary side opening holes 5, 6 and the exhaust hole 22 according to the rotation of the communicating hole are formed. In this case, a joint 23 with which an extension pipe 25 forming a curved part 25b locating the opening surface 25c on the lower side than the horizontal direction can be connected when this exhaust hole 22 is located on the upper side than the horizontal direction according to the mounting state of the main body 1 on a railway rolling stock is formed on the exhaust hole 22 of the main body 1.
