Abstract:
PURPOSE: To support a judge when he makes a judgment by identifying the type of throwing ball from an object passing over a home base and detected by a sensor.
CONSTITUTION: A plurality of sensors 12 are arranged on the surface of a home base in order to detect the height of a passing object and a ball decision means 13 decided whether an object passing over the base is a ball or not based on information received from the sensors 12. A strike decision means 15 decides strike based on information relevant to the height of ball identified by the means 13 and a strike zone for each butter received from a strike zone input means 14. A display decision means 18 designates display or alarm based on a strike signal received from the means 15 and a judgment signal of a judge received from a ball input means 16. When the outputs from the means 15, 16 match each other, S or B display are designated for a display 19 otherwise an alarm is designated for an alarm 20 thus prompting the rejudgement of the judge.
