To provide a ball for exercise, which makes external side edges of skin panels easily bend into arch shapes in order to form complete grooves at boundaries between the adjacent skin panels without lowering the rigidity of elastic members, and in which the skin panels are adhered by a strong adhesive force by using a carcass which is a ball core.
In the ball for exercise, the skin panels (1) are composed of sheet materials (3) which are backed by the elastic members (2), arc-shaped bent parts (7) are formed at the panels by bending the external side edges (6) of the skin panels at curvature radii not smaller than thicknesses of the panels after forming a large number of small holes (5) at internal side edges (4) of the elastic members of the skin panels, wherein these holes do not penetrate the internal side edges. The grooves (9) are formed at the boundaries of the adjacent skin panels by making lower edges of the arc-shaped bent parts of the adjacent skin panels abut on each other, and the skin panels are adhered to the carcass by adhering the elastic members to the carcass (8) of the ball core.
