To provide a separator which can suppress the rotation movement of a ball caused by the expansion of separation, thus can smoothly circulate the ball in an indefinite circulation path formed in a moving member, and can smoothly move the moving member along a track member, and to provide a rolling guide device using the separator.
A ball holding member is disposed between neighboring balls and incorporated with the indefinite circulation path having a load passage and a non-load passage of the rolling guide device. The ball holding member includes a first circular holding part having a concave sphere sliding with one of the balls, and a second circular holding part provided on an end surface of the first holding part formed at a back surface side of the concave sphere, and sliding with the other ball.
