To provide a ball joint capable of suppressing the increase in the amount of movement of a ball stud in the axial direction, and securing swingability.
The ball joint is equipped with: the ball stud having a spherical ball head part and a shaft part projecting from the spherical head part; a bearing swingably holding the ball head part of the ball stud and having an opening at one end thereof; and a housing maintaining a bearing having an opening part at one end for the shaft part of the ball stud to protrude, and a blocked bottom part at the other end. The housing is formed with a first cylindrical part at a side end of the opening part and a second cylindrical part having a larger inner diameter than that of the first cylindrical part on the bottom side, a step part at a position connecting the inner peripheral surface of the first cylindrical part to the inner peripheral surface of the second cylindrical part. By calking and molding the inside of the housing, the side end of the bearing opening part of the bearing and the inner peripheral surface of the first cylindrical part of the housing are brought into contact with each other.
