Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw which favorably maintains the circulation performance of balls, and can improve a life, in the ball screw in which a ball return path for circulating the balls is directly formed at a nut.SOLUTION: A nut 7 is composed of a small inside diameter part 28 at one side in an axial direction having an inside diameter which is smaller than pitch circle diameters of balls 22, and a large inside diameter part 31 at the other side in the axial direction having an inside diameter which is larger than the pitch circle diameters of the balls 22. A ball rolling groove 16 and a ball return groove 25 of the nut 7 are formed at an internal peripheral face of the small inside diameter part 28, an internal peripheral face of the large inside diameter part 31 is located outside a radial direction rather than a distorted range to the radial direction of a screw shaft 4, and portions of an internal peripheral face of the large inside diameter part 31 and an external peripheral face of the screw shaft 4 which opposes the internal peripheral face of the large inside diameter part 31 form a space 34 for holding a lubricant.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
