Title:
BALL SORTING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001157724
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a ball sorting device which is little affected by weather if installed outdoor or semi-outdoor, can surely and efficiently sort balls which are different in resilience, is lightweight and low in manufacturing and opera tional costs and can easily and cheaply change members which are directly pressed against a ball.

Sorting rollers 6 comprising sorting free wheels 6a to 6e, which are arranged like layers and freely rotate independently of one another, are arranged in two rows facing each other. A regular polygon and star-shaped sorting gear 7, to which thick disc-shaped members 18 are secured at the apex 14 and the concave bottom 15, rotates against a ball placed on a gap 20 and its concave portion 19 bites the ball to apply a proper pressure on it. Then, a ball with high resilience H is pushed out of the gap 20, while a ball with low resilience stays around on the gap 20 and the both kinds of balls are dropped onto different ball carriers 30, 31, respectively.
