Abstract:
To provide a ball spline eliminating insufficient lubrication.
The ball spline includes a shaft 2, on which spline tracks are provided, and a ball spline outer cylinder 4, which is suitable for the shaft 2 via balls. The ball spline outer cylinder 4 has an outer cylinder body 17 on which the spline tracks are formed, and a retainer 18 on which return paths are formed and which is suitable for the inside circumference of the outer cylinder body 17. In this ball spline, grease holding grooves 22 extending in the axial direction are formed on the inside circumference of the retainer 18. Chamfers 26 for allowing grease G to flow easily are provided at both ends of the retainer 18.
