Abstract:
PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture and cut production cost by screwing a ball retainer having a nearly cylindrical form from the both edges of a ball accommodating hole formed inside a valve body having a nearly cubic form. CONSTITUTION:A ball accommodating hole 5 which communicates to the right and left side surfaces 3 and 4 of a valve body 1 having a nearly cubic outer shape is formed inside the body 1. Since the inside diameter of the hole 5 is larger than the outer shape of a valve ball 2, said valve ball 2 can be easily inserted and accommodated from the opened port parts on the right and left side surfaces 3 and 4. A ball retainer 7 is screw-inserted into a female screw 6 cut onto the right and left side surfaces 3 and 4, and a ball valve A is sealed through the contact with a valve seat 8 and the outer peripheral surface of the valve ball 2.
