PURPOSE: To provide a ball valve where a spindle is hard to slip out of a spindle through hole due to the break of the spindle by bite-in of foreign matter, or the like or liquid is hard to leaks out of the spindle through hole due to the abrasion of an O ring around the spindle.

CONSTITUTION: The inside of the spindle through hole 21 where a spindle 11 for driving a ball pierces is made in taper shape where the inside diameter becomes smaller outward from the side of the valve body 31, and the spindle 11 is made in taper shape where the outside diameter on the side of a ball 11 is large and the outside diameter on the side of a handle 60 is small, and O rings 411 and 412 are set in the through part of the through hole 21 of a spindle 11. A cover layer 80 of 6-6 nylon resin smaller in coefficient of friction is made at the inside periphery of the spindle through hole 21.
