Abstract:
PURPOSE:To allow a valve body to be separated from a seat ring at the perfectly opened position and to be closely attached onto the seat ring at the perfectly closed position by setting the valve body and a valve shaft for turning the valve body which is installed in turnable ways into a valve box, into a little eccentric state. CONSTITUTION:The center O1 of the spherical outer surface of a ball valve body 4 is set eccentric for the center O of a valve shaft 8. When the ball valve body 4 is at the perfectly opened position, the through hole 17 of the valve body 4 and the center line of the through holes 6 and 7 of a valve box A coincide with each other, and the center O1 is set at the position inclined by 45 deg. towards the through hole 17 with respect to the center O. When the valve body 4 is turned by the valve shaft 8 from this state, the center O1 of the valve body 4 draws a circular arc around the center O, and he valve body is closely attached perfectly onto a seat ring 5, and set at the perfectly closed position. At this time, the center O1 of the valve body 4 is at the turned position by 90 deg. from the perfectly opened position.
