Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make obtainable a ball with optimal rebounding and trajectory characteristics by making the outer skin arranged on a pneumatic bag core have a material having a syntactic material layer and making the syntactic material layer include a matrix material and an elastic body having a stable dimension.
SOLUTION: The outer skin 11 of a ball 10 comprises an upper layer complex 20, an intermediate layer complex 13, and a lining layer complex 12 and the complexes are positioned on an inflatable pneumatic bag core 9. A syntactic material is used for an upper layer complex 20, a transparent outer layer 22 has extremely high strength and abrasion resistance, and a next layer 24 includes marking. A next layer 26 includes an aliphatic intermediate layer and the layer 26 provides the ball with a white (or colorless) external appearance. A following layer among the series of layers includes a syntactic foam material layer 50 and uses polyurethane as a matrix material 52, and a hollow sphere 54 is mixed therein.
