Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a balloon for a catheter in a treatment for an aortic angusta of a lime deposition property or for an aortic angusta of rheumatic and congenital properties, as can control the extended external diameter of an extensible external diameter easily and can prevent the migration of the balloon effectively, and can fix the balloon easily at a predetermined position.SOLUTION: A catheter comprises: a balloon 20 including a shoulder portion 23 formed of a non-extendible material or made to have a low extensibility, and an extensible waist portion 30; and a catheter body 70, to which the balloon 20 is attached.
