Title:
BALLOT PAPER SORTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012008955
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a ballot paper sorter enabling a user to connect an additional unit to a basic unit without configuring the total number of additional units or the ordinal number of each additional unit.

A ballot paper sorter 1 comprises a basic unit 10 and additional units 20, 30, and 40 sequentially connected to the basic unit 10 in series. Reed relays 24 to 44 of the additional units 20 to 40 break connections between one end of resistors R2 to R4 and a ground GND respectively when the other additional unit is connected to the rear part of the additional unit. The basic unit 10 determines the total number N of the additional units sequentially connected thereto in series based on a reference voltage VR and the potentials of both ends of a resistor R1, and the additional units 20 to 40 determine the ordinal number thereof (connection order n) based on the reference voltage VR and the potentials of both ends of the resistors R2 to R4 using the basic unit 10 as a reference, respectively.
