In the ballpoint pen tip, a rear hole having a larger diameter than that of the largest inscribed circle which can be described in a cross-sectional space within the extent of formation of an inward projecting part is formed in the rear part on the side opposite to the ball in the inward projecting part, while an ink flowing groove of which the bottom is almost in the same plane as the rear hole is formed in the inward projecting part.
