To provide a balustrade which makes it unnecessary to provide a support body with a mounting hole, and which prevents water from intruding into the hollow support body.

A thick-walled part 21 is formed in the support body 7. A recess 22, which continues in the longitudinal direction of the support body 7, is formed in the outer surface of the thick-walled part 21; locking parts 25 and 25, to which a nut 24 is locked, are provided on the outer surface side of the recess 22; and a screw 26 is fixed to the nut 24 in the recess 22, so that a mounting member 27 can be fixed. The nut 24 is inserted into the recess 22 which is formed in the outer surface of the support body 7, and the mounting member 27 is fixed to the nut 24. Thus, the mounting hole does not have to be drilled in the support body 7, thereby preventing the water from intruding into the hollow support body 7 from the hole. In addition, the working of the support body 7 is not required, thus providing excellent mounting workability.
