Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high-strength plywood made of bamboo capable of being easily manufactured without causing environmental destruction.SOLUTION: This plywood (20) made of bamboo comprises: a structure which comprises a plurality of vertically split bamboo members (22) having a width corresponding to the thickness of the plywood and arranged vertically at predetermined mutual intervals and which receives a load in a direction orthogonal to a plywood board surface; and a plurality of spacer boards (23) comprising a molded board of wood powder or bamboo powder having a predetermined width and a thickness corresponding to that of the plywood, a laminated board of wood or bamboo pieces, or a wood board, fixed between the adjacent vertically split bamboo members of the structure, and holding the mutual intervals of the plurality of vertically split bamboo members and the vertical posture of each of the plurality of vertically split bamboo members.
