To provide a long tape-like bamboo material applicable to fabrication and easy to use.

The invention refers to a bamboo material for which bamboo is formed into a tape shape and to fabricated products of this bamboo material. According to the invention, this is a material for which bamboo is formed into a tape shape having a high general applicability, so that it can be used as a surface material by connecting them side by side or as an axial material by stacking them other than using it as a tape material as is. The bamboo material is applicable to fabrication as a material for a wide range of structures, enhancing use value of superior properties of bamboo as materials for structures. The field for development includes construction materials, outer panels for automobiles, frames, boats, ships and aircraft. By the sustainable use of bamboo resources, abandoned bamboo thickets are reduced, preventing landslides due to erosion of forests, maintaining a conventional ecosystem and, moreover, contributing to recovery of public benefit function of forests. The tape-shaped bamboo material has less strength than CFRP but has roughly 1/2 weight compared with CFRP. Therefore, for use conditions that requires no such strength as CFRP, the bamboo material can provide a material having a lower cost and lower environmental load as well as the fabricated products.
