Abstract:
To provide an automatic band mounting method and an automatic band mounting device of an open type drum can by which automatic mounting of an outer lever type band can be realized while assuring a joint strength of the outer lever type band, and consequently, a pressure bearing intensity of a hood in order to conform to UN standard.SOLUTION: An automatic band mounting method for an outer lever type band 5 of an open type drum can 2 includes: a hood pressing process in which a curl fitting part 12 is formed; a band flotation suppression process in which flotation of a band body 13 fitted into the curl fitting part 12 is suppressed; a band diameter reduction process in which the band body 13 is caused to bite in the curl fitting part 12, thereby reducing a diameter of the band body 13; and a lever folding process in which a lever 16 is so folded as to be locked to a locking part 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
