To provide a band for fastening to a columnar object, which is in the form of a narrow strip, having an inserted part at one end of its band main body wound on the columnar object and having at the other end a fastening part through which a through hole for inserting the inserted part is formed, so that it is easily and safely attached without degrading in appearance.

This fastening band 5 comprises a synthetic-resin band main body 11 formed into a strip on the surface 11a of which fastening projections 14 with which the tapped part 13 of a fastener 12 is engaged is formed, with an inserted part 15 formed at one end of the band main body 11 and a fastening part 16 at the other. The fastening part 16 is formed integrally with the band main body 11 and is made up of a tapered storage space 19 having a through hole 17 bored on one side into which the inserted part 15 of the band main body 11 is inserted, being small in diameter at one side communicated to the through hole 17, and having a large-diameter fastener hole 18 opened at the other side, and the fastener 12 inserted into the storage space 19 from the fastener hole 18; the fastener 12 is made up of a control part 20 and the tapped part 13 by which the projections 14 on the band main body 11, inserted from the hole 17, are moved back and forth.
