PURPOSE: To prevent formation of burrs during final separation by setting, in the region of the plane of a working table, the cutting line of a saw tool to the plane at an angle having an angle value whereby it opens in a cutting direction.

CONSTITUTION: The cutting line of a saw tool 9 in the region of the plane of a working table 2 is set at an angle 18 having an angle value whereby it opens in a cutting direction 18. As a result, at the end of a cutting operation a band saw 9 forms an angle 19 and exceeds a position parallel to the working table 2. The angle 19 opens in the cutting direction 18, i.e., in the direction of a pressing table 5 to be fixed, and when a workpiece material 3 is finally cut through, a wedge-shaped part 36 is produced, drawing the shavings of the material into the remaining part 36 at the right of the side where the band saw 9 bites in. The shavings are not pushed in downward nor left behind as burrs.
