Abstract:
To saw a wood in the circumferential direction with regard to a long log or a thick board.
This band saw mill comprises a main shaft drive part which rotates at a specified speed while chucking the log 1, a circular knife 4 to be driven rotating at a specified speed, a circular knife reciprocative drive part which supports the circular knife 4 and drives it in a reciprocating motion in parallel with the axial direction of the log 1 while pressing the edge of the knife 4 at a specified cutting angle against the outer peripheral part of the log 1 and a circular knife feed mechanism part which shifts the cutting position of the circular knife 4 to the center of the log 1 as the cutting by the circular knife 4 progresses.
