Abstract:
To provide a band saw that is able to suppress a reduction in workability.SOLUTION: A band saw 10 has a base that supports a to-be-processed object; a body portion 14 provided so as to be operable around a support shaft relative to the base; a first rotary member and a second rotary member rotatably provided on the body portion 14; an electric motor 17 provided on the body portion 14 and rotating the first rotary member; a band saw blade wound around the first rotary member and the second rotary member and capable of cutting the to-be-processed object by being actuated by power transmitted from the electric motor 17 to the first rotary member; and a battery attachment/detachment portion 19 capable of connecting a battery for supplying power to the electric motor 17. The main body portion 14 is provided with: a first structure portion 35 provided with the first rotary member; and a second structure portion provided with the second rotary member and farther from the support shaft than the first structure portion 35. The battery attachment/detachment portion 19 is provided in the first structure portion 35.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
