PURPOSE: To obtain a vertical type band steel pickling device for efficiently pickling a band steel by pickling liquid.
CONSTITUTION: In a device wherein a band steel S is immersed in pickling liquid L and traveled to pickle the surface thereof, a vessel 12 holds this pickling liquid L and has apertures on the upper and rear surfaces. The band steel S is nearly vertically traveled through these apertures. The band steel pickling device is equipped with the vessel 12, a nozzle header 14 provided to the upper part of this vessel 12, a seal roll 16 provided to the lower part of the vessel 12, a liquid recovery tank provided to the lower part of this seal roll 16, an air chamber 18 provided to the outside of the vessel 12, a plurality of bent pipe nozzles 19 wherein the aperture end of one side is opposed to the surface of the band steel S traveled through the vessel 1 and the aperture end of the other side is communicated to the air chamber 18 and a pulsation device fitted to the air chamber 18. The pickling device is compacted and also pickling velocity on both faces of the band steel is uniformed. Moreover air is pulsated by the pulsation device and pickling liquid is intermittently injected from the nozzles and pickling treatment effect is enhanced.
