Abstract:
To provide a band tip detection device capable of reducing price and operation cost with a simple structure, that is operated even with a band made of a firmness-lacking ultrathin film or the like, and applicable also to a semi-automatic packing machine.SOLUTION: A band tip detection device provided in an automatic packing machine for packing an object 2 by tightening a band 1 wound on the object 2, and welding and cutting a tip part of the band 1 and an overlapping part thereof comprises a tip detection lever 21 and a proximity switch 22. A support axis 21a of the tip detection lever 21 is arranged so as to extend in a horizontal direction. The tip detection lever 21 is suspended by its own weight in a state of no abutting of a tip 1a of the band 1, or is swung so as to rotate upward when being pushed via abutting of the tip 1a of the band 1, thereby, the tip part is sensed by the proximity switch 22 so that it is detected that the tip 1a of the band 1 reaches a predetermined position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
