PURPOSE: To suitably cut the steel band of the rolled strip coil without injuring the strip, by installing the elevating saw blade on the truck traveling above the rolled strip coil, and by attaching the clump to be cut nearby the saw blade.
CONSTITUTION: The truck 11 is transferred to the position of the rolled strip coil 2, and the clump 19 is energized by the spring 22 toward the steel band 1. The range of swing and descent of the saw blade 15 is previously adjusted with the stopper 18. The saw blade 15 is turned round and also the cylinder 17 is actuated to move downward the saw blade 15; hereby, the steel band 1 is cut. By this cutting treater, the steel band 15 can be cut without injuring the surface of the strip of thin sheet, etc., hence the yield of product is improved and also the operational safety can be contrived.
