Abstract:
The wave guide filter has at least one cavity (4) bounded by at least two inductive irises (7), and at least floating insert in one of the irises, located closer to the edge of the iris than its centre. The interior of the waveguide contains at least one block of foam with a dielectric constant of close to 1 and with the floating insert printed on it, e.g. by photolithography of a metallic layer.
