Abstract:

To allocate a bandwidth to each user by shortening delay time while ensuring fairness among users.

In a bandwidth control system for dynamically allocating a bandwidth of each device connected in multiple stages; each slave bandwidth control device observes a data amount of input data from a plurality of connected devices, and notifies a master bandwidth control device of a sum total of observed data amounts; the master bandwidth control device calculates allocation bandwidths for the plurality of slave bandwidth control devices by using sum totals of data amounts from the plurality of slave bandwidth control devices, and notifies each slave bandwidth control device of each allocation bandwidth; and each slave bandwidth control device calculates allocation bandwidths for the plurality of connected devices so that the allocation bandwidth notified of is an output bandwidth.
