To provide a method for preventing the occurrence of water channels and capable of raising a bank even in a region where soil can not be acquired.
The bank bleach preventing method comprises a block for raising the bank along its upper part and bags filled with water absorptive polymer particles and arranged between the block and a placement surface of the bank. The block comprises protrusion parts and fixing parts for fixation to the bank. The bags filled with water absorptive polymers are inserted between the fixing parts and the placement surface of the bank. By eliminating the unevenness of the placement surface of the bank through the expansion of the water absorptive polymers, the occurrence of water channels between the surface of the bank and the block during the flooding is prevented, and the block for raising banks is stabilized in the bank bleach preventing method. The water absorptive polymers are arranged between the block and the bank, in which water channel could occur, for preventing the occurrence of water channels to eliminate gaps through the expansion of water absorption by the polymers.
