Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a bankbook handling device to print dealing results or the like on a bankbook, read or write magnetic stripes thereon, read barcodes, retrieve printed lines, turn over pages, etc., regardless of the set condition of the bankbook.
SOLUTION: A bankbook conveyed to a bankbook printing mechanism part 4 has its upper side face read by an image sensor mechanism part 5 as image data. A control part recognizes the positions of magnetic stripes on the bankbook and a pattern on the cover of the bankbook to determine the condition under which the bankbook was conveyed. After the determination, the bankbook is handled in normal or reverse direction according to the determination result, by a normal/reverse page turning mechanism part 7, a normal/reverse MS mechanism part 8, and a normal/reverse printing mechanism 6.
