To prevent the wrinkle and conveying failure of a bankbook in a bankbook page turning-over mechanism using the page turning-over rotary frictional roller of a bankbook printer.
A bankbook 1 is conveyed by conveying rollers 3, 4 and tension rollers 5, 6 disposed at paper guides 2a, 2b, and stopped by the detection of the light passed through a transmission type sensor 17. At this time point, a paper guide 11 is opened by a drive motor 12 via a belt, and one pressure roller 8 presses the bankbook from the lower surface of the guide 2b via a linkage 12 by an elevation solenoid 10. A turning-over motor 9 is controlled to be accelerated at two stages of a rotary frictional roller 7 via a belt 15 to bend, release and jump the page to be turned over of the bankbook pressed by the lower surface by one rotary operation. After the page-turning-over is finished, when the bankbook 1 is conveyed in the turned-over page direction, the bankbook binding part is passed through the roller 7, and then the roller 7 is rotated at a low speed by the reverse rotation to the rollers 3, 4 for conveying the bankbook 1.
