The stacked banknotes S are moved in one direction along the longitudinal direction, the moving tip side thereof is held by the pair of holding members 42, 43 arranged at a moving destination, the binding tape T is wound around the stacked banknotes S held by the pair of holding members 42, 43 to bind the banknotes, and the stacked banknotes are moved in the reverse direction along the longitudinal direction and drawn from the pair of holding members 42, 43 together with the binding tape T.
