Abstract:
PURPOSE:To aim at correcting a fold or a curl by arranging elastic rollers having therein circumferential grooves so that concave and convex parts of the grooves are faced and aligned with each other. CONSTITUTION:A pair of deformation correcting rollers 2 formed therein circumferential grooves are arranged so that concave and convex parts of grooves are faced to each other across conveying paths 5. A banknote 6 adapted to be conveyed being clamped, in its shortwise direction, by belts on the conveying paths 5 is pressed by the convex parts of the rollers 2 so as to be newly deformed for canceling out a fold and a curl in the banknote 6, and is conveyed satisfactorily. Further, the roller 2 are formed of an elastic material so as to be deformed along a banknote bit therebetween, thereby it is possible to prevent the banknote from being scratched.
